The Woolworth Building, at fifty-seven stories, is one of the oldest skyscrapers in New York City. It is still one of the fifty tallest buildings in the United States as well as one of the twenty tallest buildings in New York City.

The building was constructed in neo-Gothic style by architect Cass Gilbert.

The Woolworth Building opened on April 24, 1913.

The building has been featured in the movies "Cloverfield" and "Enchanted."

The landmark was the tallest building in the world. from 1913 to 1929.
