At a combined length of approximately 5.75 miles (9.25 kilometers), the Atlantic City / Ventnor boardwalk is currently the longest boardwalk in the world. Strolling the boardwalk will take you past famous hotels, casinos and streets.

Landmark Trivia
- The Boardwalk starts at Absecon Inlet and runs along the beach for four miles (six kilometers) to the city limit.
- The first version of the boardwalk was built in 1870, with 12-foot wide sections laid directly on the sand, in hopes of reducing the amount of sand tracked into hotel lobbies by beachgoers.
- The well-known song, "On the Boardwalk in Atlantic City," comes from the 1946 film "Three Little Girls in Blue."
- This boardwalk gained notoriety due to the board game Monopoly, which was based upon the trading and dealing of real estate in Atlantic City.
